Position Summary

Senior Aseptic Manufacturing Operators produce sterile medications in a current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) cleanroom, adhering to International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards, while ensuring regulatory compliance and mentoring team members.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manufactures sterile products in a cGMP cleanroom, following ISO standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensures compliance with 21 Code of Federal Regulations parts 210/211, United States Pharmacopeia <797>/<800>, and cGMP using aseptic techniques and manufacturing equipment.
  • Maintains cleanroom standards through cleaning, disinfecting, and preparing work areas and components per approved procedures.
  • Supports manufacturing with documentation, product transfer, and tasks like autoclaving, inventory management, and Lean practices such as 6S.
  • Provides leadership by training staff, covering shifts, and assisting with projects as needed.

 

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail, self-motivation, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team to resolve issues.
  • Proficient in following SOPs, operating aseptic equipment, performing basic mathematical operations, and achieving cleanroom gowning qualification within two attempts.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years aseptic manufacturing experience required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in a science discipline preferred.
